From the neighborhoods of Memphis, Tennessee, M.C. Mack discovered his passion for music at a young age. Inspired by hip-hop legends including Run-DMC, N.W.A., Geto Boys, KRS-One, Public Enemy, Too Short, MC Twist, Run C, and 2 Live Crew, he developed a deep appreciation for lyricism, production, and authentic street storytelling. Those influences motivated him to begin writing lyrics while still in school.
Instead of waiting for opportunities, Mack created his own. Armed with a pen, paper, an RX8 Yamaha Drum Machine, and a four-track recorder, he produced his first records during sixth grade. His dedication to learning every aspect of music production helped shape the independent mindset that continues to define his career today.
